| 10-21-2002 Monitoring requests are processed when at least one signal is received by the monitoring station, and will become effective by Email or written notice. Monitoring is on a month to month basis, PAID IN ADVANCE. Any balance turned over to collection for non payment will have the collection and legal fees added to the unpaid balance. AVSS nor their affiliates are responsible for false alarms or false/unnecessary dispatches of police, fire or ambulance services. Testing of the alarm system to insure proper working condition is the sole responsibility of the owner and not AVSS or it's affiliates. This should be done at least once a month. Canceling of monitoring must be in writing (click here to fill out the form online) and verified by the current abort word on file with AVSS. No more signals are to be received by the monitoring station after cancellation. This can be done by... 1) Powering down of the security system (AC and Battery) 2) Disconnecting the phone from the system 3) reprogramming of the system ( a free service from AVSS, site phone required) If signals are received, all past months shall be due and payable. FAQ's AVSS must be informed of monitoring cancellation in writing at least 20 days before the next billing cycle to avoid future charges. Monitoring updates are done for free and should be done at the time that the data changes. The owner NOT AVSS shall be responsible for keeping the monitoring contact information current.
